Dove into This Maine Treat; How Is Cretons?
In our effort to teach Lou about Maine (she's from Idaho), Lori and Jeff also learned a little bit about Maine. It's called Cretons.
This is Cretons. It's a pork (or turkey) spread made right in Lewiston at Mailhots. It's a pretty simple concept: pork, water, dehydrated onions, salt and spices.
We got many, many calls and every single one said have it on toast with a little mustard. So we did.
The final results:
Eh. It's good...but I can't imagine craving it, or buying it again. But it was okay.
I gave the rest to Jeff. He'll eat anything. Did I do something wrong, because people LOVE this stuff!!
