Opened in 2024, Downeast Dog House in Lubec, Maine, is only minutes from the famous West Quoddy Lighthouse.
It's also located right around the corner from Lubec Brewing Company, so if you want a beer and a hot dog, you're set.
You might have noticed that the 6 School Street building is for sale. Fear not! Downeast Dog House stated in a Facebook post about the listing that they'll remain open until the building sells, and even after it does, they'll be getting a food truck.
So no worries, as your chance to get a hot dog isn't going away.

Some of the food you might find on the menu includes a Rice's snapper hot dog with caramelized onions and sauerkraut or a Rice's snapper hot dog with chili, Colby cheese and fresh sweet onion.
There's even some bratwurst if you feel like branching out a bit.
You can even build your own hot dog, complete with the toppings you want to put on.
When Is Downeast Dog House in Lubec, Maine, Open?
Check for any updated hours for Downeast Dog House on its Facebook page, but summer hours are listed as:
- Monday: 11 am - 2 pm
- Thursday through Sunday: 11 am - 5:30 pm
- Tuesday and Wednesday: Closed
The restaurant does note that they are closed on the last Sunday of the month, too.
