A woman in Hermon, ME, who is a convicted drug dealer, is suing the town so she can pay her back taxes and keep her home from being foreclosed upon, according to the Bangor Daily News.

Now it is no secret that people have gone to their local municipality and made deals with officials in times of desperation. The current pandemic is no exception to that rule.

However, according to the newspaper, city officials denied her previous request to repay back taxes on her house because she had been known to deal drugs from the residence before her initial incarceration.

Enter the lawsuit; the woman hopes that the courts will rule in her favor, and she can return home.
