Maine Can Repeat in 2024 Winning the ‘Face of Horror’
Maine is on a roll for being scary - and we could do it again!
What exactly is the 'Face of Horror'?
The Face of Horror competition brings together horror fans to celebrate the genre and compete for $13,000 and a photoshoot with Kane Hodder to be featured in Rue Morgue, all while raising awareness for the Starlight Children's Foundation. And last year a Mainer took home the grand prize!
Nell McGee from Windsor, Maine was the 2023 'Face of Horror'
Nell has since 'settled in the woods of Georgia' according to KRON 4. According to the report since she grew up without many things, no high school, no supermarket, and only a few stoplights, she found solace and inspiration in the world of horror. She laughed,
Being a kid growing up in the middle of nowhere... I was always really creative. I was a musician and had a really enriching childhood that led me into the adult I am now because I was a weird kid.
Can another Mainer be the 'Face of Horror' in 2024?
This is Brandelyn Delano and she wants to be the next Face of Horror. Brandelyn was asked three questions:
- What draws you to the darkness? I think I am just very curious about what is there.
- Tell us why you would make it to the end of a horror movie. Well after seeing many I believe that I could avoid the mistakes that a lot of people would make.
- What would you do with the unlucky $13,000? I would use some to pay off my car loan and put some in my son's trust fund that his grandfather set up for him. Also I would put some down for a payment towards a house.
How can I help Brandelyn from Sanford, Maine become the next 'Face of Horror' and meet Kane Hodder?
That's easy! Vote, vote, and vote more! Tell all your friends to help this Mainer live out her horrific dream! Click here to vote! Voting ends Thursday, September 12th.
