Sari Rachel from Falmouth is acting a little like Santa Claus as we get close to Christmas. She's a self-taught metalsmith that makes jewelry by hand to sell on her website, sarirae.com.

My girlfriend Michele is a big fan and was excited to see that Sari Rae was doing a gift hunt, and placing gifts in hidden locations in the Greater Portland area and dropping photos and clues on Instagram as to their whereabouts.

On Tuesday, two photos were posted to the sari.rae Instagram page with the following clues:

The first photo - this place is just outside of Portland. Over looking the largest mooring field in all of Maine. Look at eye height for this hidden treasure.

Second photo - hidden at the top of a happy hill. Come learn about a naval ship and look out across the bay!

Do you have any idea where these gifts were hidden by looking at the pictures? If you do, it's too late for this round. Both gifts were found within 45 minutes!

If you weren't able to figure them out, the first photo with a gift was hidden at Town Landing in Falmouth, which holds the distinction of being the largest recreational anchorage/mooring field north of Marblehead, Massachusetts.

The second photo with a gift appears to be hidden at Fort Allen Park on Munjoy Hill in Portland. It's the home of the USS Portland Memorial, the WWII Navy Cruiser named after Maine's largest city. The memorial displays the main mast and the navigational bridge shield of The Portland.

There will likely be more of these gift hunts from Sari Rae, so keep an eye on that Instagram page and get ready to dash quickly before someone beats you to it!

TOP SPOTS IN MAINE WITH AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE

In Maine, it's not hard to find businesses, restaurants, and shops with great customer service. It could be we are that way because of the many tourists that visit us. Or it just might be our stubborn Yankee roots that we like to treat people the way we want to be treated.
