Get Ready for First Competition Dating Show in Maine ‘For Love or Lobsters’
How cool is this? You've seen the Bachelor/Bachelorette a million times, but those are national shows that we can't truly relate to.
There's a new local dating show based in Maine called "For Love or Lobsters," and it sounds like it'll be the adrenaline rush we all need.
OK, so here's everything I know so far.
I got a message on Instagram from the creator and host of the new dating show with this photo attached.
Creator and host Teagan Wright said there will be "6 contestants competing against each other in three rounds to match with each other for the opportunity to have a date night in Portland all set up and paid for.'
He added a number of brands attached to the show and noted that the winning couple will get a couples facial at Beam Skin Studio, a month membership to Bay Fitness, drinks at Apres, and then dinner at High Roller.
Here's the unique part for the contestants who do not move forward in the competition.
Wright said that "even eliminated contestants get super fun prizes." Sounds like it's a win-win.
How cool to watch a TV show filmed in our favorite restaurants like High Roller downtown and Apres.
Wright also created a docuseries called "From Away," which was a travel series that highlighted what made Maine so special from harvesting blueberries to lobstering and more.
You can see a trailer for the series here if you didn't already watch it:
Wright said he'll be dropping the first episode of his dating game show "For Love or Lobsters" on YouTube on September 17 as well as all other socials. As more details come out on when and where to watch it, I'll make sure to fill you in.
For now, just let the anticipation build hehe.
