First Reindeer Born In Maine In 20 Years Happened On Easter Morning

A touring petting zoo in Winslow had quite the surprise on Easter morning when a mother reindeer gave birth quite unexpectedly to the staff.

The baby reindeer is the first to be born in Maine in 20 years. Pony X-Press co-owner Ed Papsis says the reindeer is a healthy dark brown female calf who's getting a lot of  attention.

The reindeer mother, named Cocoa, is doing quite well and is a great mom, the baby reindeer has yet to be named.
