Fourth of July Fireworks in Freeport, Maine? How About a Laser Show Instead
Independence Day is quickly approaching, an event-filled day for Mainers to spend the time outdoors, grill up some red snappahs, and watch the fireworks all around the state.
It’s also a weekend of insane traffic as neighboring states flock to our shores for a beautiful day outside. With so much going on in different parts of the state, it can be hard to lock down plans and know where to go with so many firework displays and events happening all around.
We’ve spent our entire lives watching fireworks shows on the 4th, so why not change it up this year and watch a laser show in the sky instead?
L.L. Bean Summer in the Park
The upcoming holiday will kick start L.L. Bean’s Summer in the Park, a three-month-long event offering free concerts, classes, and movie nights all summer at the flagship store in Freeport.
From July 4 to September 4, you can find free events happening weekly at the flagship campus in Discovery Park. Kick off the summer with a unique 4th of July event with a free concert and colorful laser show.
L.L. Bean 4th of July Celebration

The run will be followed by a bright, lively, and high-energy parade down Main Street and the night will lead into a free concert in Discovery Park. Starting at 7:30 p.m., Pink Martini featuring China Forbes will bring their musical talent to the L.L. Bean park followed by a colorful and stunning display of laser lights in the night sky.
The laser show is replacing the fireworks in order to create a pollution-free light display for everyone to safely enjoy. It’s also a great way to switch up the 4th plan and do something different. We’ve all seen fireworks before but have you seen a laser show?
