Gary and Ginger Currens, who own the property, say it's time to move on and have put the Desert Of Maine on the market, according to the Sun Journal.

The newspaper states that the 40-acre property includes the house, the "desert" and the trails, a gift shop, a barn dating back over 220 years and a 48 site campground can be yours for $725,000.

The Currens bought the property after a visit to the desert and have owned and operated the attraction since the 2004, according to the article.

There is no criteria for the new owners, but the Currens would like to see it remain a tourist destination and the employees keep their jobs.

The Desert of Maine is open at 9am daily with the last tour at 4:30pm through October 15th.
