After several months of rising gas prices in Maine and New Hampshire, it looks like we're finally starting to see a break in the trend.

According to GasBuddy, the average price of a gallon of gas in Maine, New Hampshire, and the rest of the country began a steady climb earlier this year, right around the week of February 11th. At that time, gas was around $2.22 a gallon in Northern New England, and $2.28 nationwide. But over the next three months, the prices consistently rose, and by May 4th, prices were the highest they had been since October of last year.

Luckily, we've started seeing the price coming back down over the last few weeks. The current national average for a gallon of gas is $2.82, while Maine is at 2.78, and New Hampshire is at 2.71. Do gas prices affect how much you travel? Let us know, with a comment at our Facebook page!
