Girls On The Run Combines Comfy Shoes & Dancing at Sneaker Soiree

You wanna get all dressed up for a fancy outing but ditch the heels? Girls On The Run is hosting a Sneaker Soiree where you can do exactly that, while supporting an awesome organization that provides girls with the tools they need to take on the world. Girls On the Run Maine has been ever expanding since the first 5k and continues to teach girls how to embrace being themselves, forge meaningful friendships, and combat bullying. I've volunteered as a coach the past two years and have witnessed first-hand the positive impact this program has on its members -- AND volunteers!

The first Sneaker Soiree took place last year and was a huge success, raising over $23k for expansion of the program's Maine chapter. This year's event is goin' down at Grace in Portland on Friday, September 27th. Tickets are $55 each, or $100 for a pair, which gets you entrance to the upbeat night of comfy shoe-dancing, heavy appetizers, desserts, mystery box raffle, wine pull, silent auction, bid for girls, and heartfelt speech from honorary chair Mary J. Herman. Black tie optional, sneakers mandatory!
