Most of us who enjoy public spaces are just their to experience what they have to offer. Whether it's a chance to soak in some sun, breathe in some fresh air or just get away from it all, those spaces are vital to the happiness of a community. But occasionally, you get a chance to the aerial view of these public spaces and in the case of Bug Light Park in South Portland, what you see may make you say "wow!"

Shared on Twitter by Dirigo1820 and enhanced by using Google Maps, it appears that the design for the Bug Light Park lot wasn't by accident. It was intentionally designed to be shaped a like a Liberty Ship. Which is perfect, considering there is a Liberty Ship monument located at the park.

Makes you wonder, what other parks and public places have been designed specific ways without most people ever noticing? Know of some? Give us the heads up!
