Don't pack up that air conditioner just yet... it looks like we're still in for a bit of a scorcher this week.

The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures in the 90s for much of southern Maine and coastal New Hampshire on Tuesday and Wednesday, and NewsCenterMaine meteorologist Ryan Breton is calling for a heat index of 100° mid-week.

The Heat Index is how hot it "actually feels," and is determined using a combination of factors like total temperature and the humidity level.

And if you think that it's been crazy humid this summer, you're not alone. 2018 has cracked the top three most humid summers on record - ever. Worldwide heat records were even set last month across the planet.

Keep it cool out there as you're sipping your pumpkin spice latte in 100 degree heat!
