It's almost Memorial Day Weekend! Enjoy the barbecues, the day off work, and the droves of tourists. Oh, and parades and observances to honor and celebrate fallen veterans. Of course, the parades! Here are the events happening in Maine:

Auburn
Mon, May 27, 10am - 12pm

Auburn will celebrate 150 years of heritage, history and honor with their SESQUICENTENNIAL MEMORIAL DAY PARADE! We invite your organization to join us for this signature event on May 27, 2019 at 10:00AM in beautiful AUBURN, Maine. There will be designated viewing areas, food trucks, and a post-parade ceremony at Veteran's Memorial Designated viewing areas & food trucks. Live event coverage by WGME.

Biddeford-Saco
Mon, May 27, 2pm - 3:30pm

Biddeford-Saco's Memorial Day Parade will start in Biddeford at Veteran's Memorial Park on the corner of Pool/Alfred and will end in Saco at Eastman Park on the corner of Beach/Main.

Blue Hill
Mon, May 27, 10am

In Blue Hills, there will be a Memorial Day Observance at American Legion Hall at 10 am. To be followed by a parade down Main Street and onto the Seaside Cemetery.

Ellsworth
Mon, May 27, 10 AM

Floats and participants line up at 9:30 at the Moore Community Center. Parade will be followed by ceremony at City Hall.

Gouldsboro
Mon, May 27, 9am - 11am

The Gouldsboro Memorial Day Parade will start at Fisher Field. Lineup at 8. Ceremony to follow at the Woman's Club.

Lamoine
Mon, May 27, 10am

Memorial Day Observance at 10 am at the Lamoine Veterans Memorial.

North Yarmouth
Mon, May 27, 7pm - 9pm

Unveiling of a new monument in Veterans Memorial Park. Guest speakers: Dixie Elaine Hayes (North Yarmouth Historical Society) and Joseph Reagan (Easterseals Maine)

Old Orchard Beach
Mon, May 27, 1 - 2pm

The annual Memorial Day Parade in Old Orchard Beach is co-hosted by The Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion of Old Orchard Beach. It runs along Old Orchard St.

Portland
Mon, May 27, 10:30am, 2pm

Morning parade at 10:30am from Longfellow Square to Monument Square and later the Friends of Evergreen Cemetery’s Fifth Annual Memorial Day Procession and Program at 2pm in Deering Center from the Longfellow School to Evergreen Cemetery in commemoration of the fallen.

Sabattus
Mon, May 27, 11am - 1pm

The parade starts at the post office and ends at the Sabattus War Memorial in the center of town.

Skowhegan 
Mon, May 27, 10am

Parade participants will gather by 9:30 a.m. at Smart & Edward’s Funeral Home parking lot. The parade will then proceed down Madison Avenue, onto Water Street, and ending at the Veteran's Memorial on Water Street.

South Portland
Mon, 27 May 2019, 10:30am

South Portland War Veterans Memorial Association, comprised of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 832 and the American Legion Post 35. The parade will begin at SMCC and travel down Broadway, ending at Mill Creek at the Veterans Monument where there will be a short service. Please note that Broadway will be closed from 10AM to 12PM for this event.

Surry
Mon, May 27, 1pm

There will be a Memorial Day observance at the Surry Memorial Park at 1pm. The park is located at the junction of the Surry Road and the North Bend Road.

Waterville
Mon, 27 May 2019, 1pm - 3pm

Parade will start at the Head of Falls in Waterville.

Wells
Mon, May 27, at 8am

Parade will begin at Wells High School, 200 Sanford Road, continue east on Sanford Road (Route 109) to Post Road (Route 1), and continue south on US 1 to Ocean View Cemetery.
