History Of Maine Food Exhibit Opening In March

Maine's Historical Society is launching a new exhibit called Maine Eats: The Food Revolution Starts Here.

The exhibit will show Maine's history of food and Mainers love for it. From lobsters to Whoopie Pies and everything in between, Maine certainly has a love affair with local eats!

You'll see how Giovanni Amato started the business selling sandwiches to fishermen and locals on the docks of Portland's waterfront, and how the "red snapper" hot dog came to be and so much more!

The exhibit opens March 2nd at the Maine Historical Society in Portland.
