We go through a lot of bread as I'm sure many families do, but does everyone do the same thing I do when they buy a loaf of bread?

I'm very picky about how my bread tastes. I don't put it in the refrigerator because I think it loses it's softness and does anyone really like cold bread? I also always, always, always, throw this out.

Bread heels are the worst. I know that's how loaves of bread work. You have to have ends to the loaf but I don't want them. Some people say it's bread just like the rest of the slices, but no it's not.

This is mostly crust. Mostly crust is not tasty. Do you order a slice of pizza that is mostly crust? The heel also doesn't conform to the same shape as the rest of the bread slices. See how it's concave instead of flat? It might as well be an all crust bread bowl.

So these go right in the trash. I hate to waste them, but no one in this house is going to eat them. One website tries to provide uses for these abandoned slices, but none sound good to me.

So which are you? A heel fan or foe?
