Injured Solider (With Ties to Maine) and His Dog, Rocky, Both Receive Purple Hearts

Army Specialist Andrew Brown and his dog, Rocky, were both wounded when looking for explosive devices in Afghanistan. One blew up, injuring them both. They were both received purple hearts and were allowed to be in the same hospital room.

This is Rocky. He and his handler, Army specialist Andrew Brown, were taken to Germany where they underwent several surgeries.

He enlisted in Portland and told WGME CBS 13 that he and his wife are looking forward to visiting her family in Eliot when he recovers.
