Is a Maine Brewery Teaming Up with Coolio For a New Beer?
If you had told me that the legendary Coolio is getting his own beer and it's going to be brewed right here in Maine, I would have said "Oh sure. And I suppose Adele is going to have her own wine distilled here in Maine too." Well, apparently the Coolio beer is true. The Adele wine, not so much.
Odd by Nature Brewing in Cape Neddick posted a photo on Facebook of owner Jay Grey posing with the one and only Coolio who is holding a pink-colored can of beer. Not a lot of detail is given here other than saying that Collio makes music, Odd By Nature makes beer and there is more stuff coming.
So what can we make of this? It seems obvious that the man behind the hits "Gangsta's Paradise," "Fantastic Voyage" and "1, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin' New)," is getting his own beer from the same Maine brewery that brought us the Beavis and Butthead "The Sun Sucks" beer and the Betty White "Thank You For Being a Friend" beer.
There are still questions though. What's the name of the beer? What's the flavor? How in the world was Odd By Nature Brewing able to convince Coolio to team up with them to make a beer? A closer examination of the photo answers two of those questions.
The beer is called "Crantastic Voyage" which explains the color of the can and has artwork depicting Coolio in his '65, just like in the video for "Fantastic Voyage."
Sounds like Cranstaitc Voyage will be ready soon and you'll be able to slide slide slippity-slide down to Odd by Nature Brewing in Cape Neddick to give it a try.
