Island Dog Brewing in South Portland Loves Dogs as Much as They Love Beer
Island Dog Brewing wants to help out old Maine dogs.
Island Dog Brewing in South Portland gets its name from the love of the owner's rescue dogs Felix (Puerto Rico) and Mateo (Costa Rica) and the love of the Maine coast. It seemed only fitting when they were approached to raise money for Old Dogs New Digs.
Old Dogs New Digs is NOT a shelter, but a network of volunteers working with shelters in Maine, Colorado, New Mexico and Costa Rica. They are a nonprofit of volunteers, dedicated to helping homeless and displaced senior dogs. They work with shelters and rescues, who have ownership of the dog, to help get the dog into a loving foster or forever home. 100% of the funds raised for Old Dogs New Digs support these sweet older dogs' health and well-being.
Island Dog Brewing and Ampion Renewable Energy, a community solar company, are getting together to raise some funds for these old pups at Old Dog New Digs. If you get solar power through Ampion, they will make a $100 donation to ODND and you will get $100 bucks to Island Dog Brewing.
We're basically talking about a win, win, win. You get solar energy, you get to down some great local beer in South Portland and old dogs get the care they need to live their golden years with love.
See if solar could be your thing. I'm pretty sure dogs are beer are! Help Old Dogs New Digs raise funds for dogs that are at the end of their happy lives.
