On the surface, the Thanksgiving holiday is about having a big meal.

However, we all know that there is more to it than just stuffing our faces.  It is about being thankful for what we have and it is about spending time with our family and friends.

What if you have nowhere to go for Thanksgiving?  What if you don't have the money for a meal?

That's where the team at the Calumet Club comes in.

The well-known Central Maine social club will be hosting a free Thanksgiving feast from 11 AM to 3 PM on Thanksgiving Day (November 28th).

The meal will be open to everyone, whether you are by yourself or bringing a whole family.

The daughter of one of the event's organizers said, in part:

This gathering is all about community and connection, so even if you’re just one person, please don’t hesitate to join us—there will be plenty of friendly folks eager to share the day with you. Large groups are welcome too; the more, the merrier!

While the event is free, if you are willing and able, you can make a donation to Bread of Life Ministries.

You can learn more about this free dinner, the event space at the Calumet Club, and the club itself from the club's website.
