In recent years, 'adult' nights have become very popular at New England's amusement parks.

It makes sense, given the age of most popular amusement parks.  These parks have been around since the mid-20th century.  Because of this, generations of kids have grown up at these parks.  Many of them want the opportunity to relive some of the best experiences of their childhoods.

Located on Route 1 in Saco, Maine, Funtown is one of the parks to jump on this craze.

Funtown calls its events "All Grown Up nights", and they give guests a chance to experience the park without kids.  Guests can ride the rides (when was the last time you rode the Astrosphere?), play the games, and have something to eat without dealing with other people's bratty kids (because your kids are perfect angels, right?).

During the events, the park will be open from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. This year, these events will be on July 13, August 3, and August 24.

The park has announced that the tickets for the first event will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 14.

Tickets for the event will cost $30 per person.

Keep in mind that you will need to provide identification proving that you are at least 21 years old before being allowed into the event.  Also, if you appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you will not be allowed in.  So, you probably don't want to pre-game it.

You can get more details now through the Funtown website.
