Halloween is one of those holidays that has something for everyone.

For the kids, there's dressing up and candy.  For the adults, there's dressing up and alcohol.

Yes, as we got older, we probably realized that some adults were as into Halloween as the kids were.  In some cases, they were even more into Halloween than the kids were.

The Return of the Hallowell Halloween Parade

For many years, one of the most anticipated events of the spooky season was the Hallowell Halloween Parade.

Sadly, due to some concerns about insurance, the parade was canceled in 2023.

If you were bummed about it not taking place last year, we have some great news: the parade is back in 2024!

This year's parade will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 26.

If you want to participate, you'll want to show up, in your costume, at the corner of Temple and Water Streets by 5:45 p.m.

Following the parade, there'll be a pub crawl through Hallowell.  Many of the local bars & restaurants will feature live music and DJs on Saturday.  The Easy Street Lounge will feature DJ Creamer, DJ Cooper Fox will be at the Quarry Tap Room, and the Maine House will feature Stealing Sunday.

Get additional details about the event on the Facebook page.
