Why Are Harry Potter Fans Rushing to Maine Target Stores?
I narrowly missed the Harry Potter craze.
If was just a few years too old to really get into the books. Strangely enough, though, I had a friend who was a few years older who loved the books. So, maybe if I had been a little more open minded I would have gotten into the books as a teen.
That being said, I did not escape Harry Potter being rammed down my throat.
Both of my daughters are huge fans of the franchise. Their obsession started with their mother reading them the books during the pandemic, and it took off from there.
My eldest daughter, who is in her early teens, still loves Harry Potter and, as a fan of LEGOs, loved getting the Harry Potter LEGO sets.
If you have ever bought your kids (or, your husband) 'licensed' LEGO kits, you know that they are not cheap. Whether it is Star Wars, Avatar, the Avengers, or Harry Potter, you are likely to spend in excess of $50 for even a small kit.
That's one of the reasons that Harry Potter and LEGO fans are running to Target stores.
According to a recent article in Parade, Target stores are selling a larger Harry Potter LEGO set at a discounted price.
The article explains that they are selling the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle and Grounds Wizarding Building Set for only $145. Normally, this massive, 2,660-piece set is about $170! Yes, you'll save about $25.
The Target website describes the kit as:
Relive iconic Harry Potter moments from the Wizarding World & celebrate Harry Potter's birthday as you assemble the Main Tower, Astronomy Tower, Great Hall and Boathouse, the courtyards, greenhouses, and the rocky landscape that surrounds the Black Lake. Recreate the Chamber of Secrets, The Winged Key room, Potions Classroom and Chessboard Chamber which are all tucked inside the castle.
There are Target stores in Augusta, Auburn, Topsham, Bangor, South Portland, and Biddeford.
