
Central Maine Woman Arrested For Allegedly Stashing Drugs in a Coffee Cup
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety's Shannon Moss, a woman from Cornville is facing several charges after she was arrested for drug possession.
The press release explains that 48-year-old Jessica Salisbury, of Corville, was arrested following a traffic stop in Skowhegan on Wednesday, April 9th.
Police stopped her vehicle and a K9 officer was used to search the vehicle for drugs. The K9 officer reportedly found drugs stashed in the false bottom of a STASH travel coffee mug.
The press release explains:
Officers located a “STASH” coffee tumbler. The tumbler has a false bottom often used to conceal illegal substances. Located in the false bottom was 10.9 grams cocaine HCL, 20.98 grams Cocaine Base and 13.86 grams of methamphetamine. The tumbler is 10 inches in height and the concealed portion is 3.5 inches in depth.
The traffic stop was reportedly part of an ongoing joint investigation of drug trafficking in Skowhegan between the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Skowhegan Police Department.
Salisbury has been charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Trafficking Schedule W Drugs (Class A) and Violation of Conditions of Bail/Release (Class C).

Salisbury has a prior conviction in 2006 for Unlawful Drug Trafficking Class B and is currently released on 2 sets of bail conditions. Because of this, even though her bail has been set at $50,000, she needs to appear before a judge before she can post bail.
