Victim in Fiery Crash Identified as Richmond, Maine, Man
According to an article on the WGME website, a 20-year-old Richmond man has been identified as the victim of a fiery crash that happened on August 3.
According to the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office, Mark J. Judd of Richmond was the driver who was killed in the crash, which happened near Thorofare Road on Route 201.
Judd, who was reportedly driving a Chevy Silverado, veered right before overcorrecting. This caused him to cross the center line and crash into an oncoming Ford F-250 driven by a 58-year-old Richmond man.
Sadly, the driver of the Ford was unable to avoid the collision.
The Ford overturned and the Silverado ended up in the ditch, where it caught on fire.
Judd died at the scene, while the driver of the Ford received minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Our thoughts go out to all those involved.
