According to a press release from the Augusta Police Department, the Maine State Police and Augusta Police Department continue to search for a man accused in a Friday night domestic violence incident.

The press release explains that at about 1 p.m., 40-year-old Justin M. Larrabee allegedly displayed a firearm and made threats against his parents.  He fled the scene before police could arrive.

This incident prompted a massive police presence on Riverside Drive in Augusta.  Police also sent out an emergency alert to the phones of people in the area.

Larrabee's vehicle was later located, but he is still at large.

He is wanted for the following charges:

Domestic Violence Assault (x2), Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening,
Aggravated Criminal Mischief Obstructing The Report of A Crime
Violation of Conditions of Release Operating A Motor Vehicle While License Is Currently Suspended

An update to the press release, sent at 8 a.m. on Saturday, reads:

Larrabee has not been located at this point, and we are asking that the community continue to be safe and report any possible sightings of Larrabee to the police. The Augusta Police and Maine State Police continue to check on all leads being provided to us by the public. Larrabee has not made any threats to anyone else outside of those made to his family, however we still consider him dangerous.

If you see Larrabee, do not approach him.  He is considered armed and dangerous.  Instead, call 911 to report his location.

Based on the name and age, it appears that this is the same person who allegedly defaced the Maine Law Enforcement Memorial in June of 2023.  We have reached out to local police for confirmation on this.

*NOTE - All suspects are considered innocent until they are found guilty in a court of law.
