These Maine Restaurants Will Be Open for Thanksgiving in 2024

Traditionally, Thanksgiving Dinner has always been one of those feasts enjoyed at home.

Friends and family would gather at someone’s house to stuff themselves with turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, casseroles, and lots of pie.

Of course, this traditional Thanksgiving does not work for everyone.  Some people are traveling for business over the holiday, some people have no one else in their lives, and some families just don’t want to take the time to cook an enormous Thanksgiving dinner.

The good news is that, in most Maine towns, there are at least a few places where you can get a meal.

In some cases, these eateries are serving their normal menu, but in many cases they are offering a special Thanksgiving menu.

The main thing to keep in mind is that, in most cases, the hours are limited.  Don’t expect the place that you normally visit for a beer and tenders at 9 o’clock to be open their normal hours on Thanksgiving.

If you do choose to go out to eat on Thanksgiving, please consider tipping your server more than you normally would.  These men and women have given up a chance to have dinner with their families to ensure that your family has a great dining experience.
