A recent announcement was made that shook Augusta! The epic Hatchet House is saying goodbye. 

This fun and engaging spot located on 2 Stephen King Drive at the Marketplace at Augusta has officially announced they are up for sale, but not before deeply thanking the community for their support over the last few years. Hatchet House is owned by Mary Young and Mike Yeaton.

Why are they selling?

The post on their business Facebook said, in part,  

“To all our customers, and City of Augusta, we could not have done this with out you. We thank you for the warm welcome and support over the last three years.  

After much deliberation we have decide to sell Hatchet House, LLC. as we look to spend more time with our families and concentrate on our other business. 

Hatchet House, only open a short 3 years, explained the decision to sell is in order to pursue other ventures and focus on family. 

Now wait, you still can chuck hatchets because the doors have not closed for good just yet. There is no officially closing date as of right now, as per the post.  

As per the post, they are offering the entire business package for sale including everything from  the lanes, projectors, and hatchets, to tables, stools, and the beloved square register system.  

So basically, if you’ve ever wanted to build your own hatchet house, you can!

What’s next for the Hatchet House folks?  

The owners made is clear to followers with the post that they’re still going full throttle with the business, while searching for the next buyer(s).
