When a restaurant is said to be the best spot in town, we take that seriously and as a challenge. So, naturally, we had to strut in and try the place for ourselves. 

What's the hottest restaurant right now?

Cushnoc Cantina on 150 Main Street in Waterville will have you ready to eat your weight in carbs and embarrass yourself with their sneaky margaritas. Spoiler alert: We succeeded on both fronts.

You get what you pay for.

First off, let’s talk about the food at Cushnoc Cantina

We started with the Hummus Plate and Cantina Tots, because we're not monsters.

When I tell you that this was the best hummus I have ever had in my whole entire life, and I am GREEK, then you know I am being serious.  

Then came in the Cauli Bang Bang which should absolutely be illegal because it’s too good. It was crispy and spicy and made us feel like we were healthier because it included a veggie.

But the real MVP at the Cantina are the Cantina bowls. Bowls are trendy right now and no wonder why, if you are blessed to dive into the right one, it could possibly change your life.

That's the case with the Holy Mole Poke Bowl. They are so fresh, so flavorful, and so big that you want to run home the next day to finish it for lunch.

Like I said, you get what you pay for.  

The drinks were strong enough to make us all believe we could become astronauts.

But beyond the food and drinks, it’s the vibe that is stunning. You walk into a sleek, modern place where you immediately feel cooler just by being in there. 

Side note: check out the hanging lamps, they are the absolute coolest feature.

Not to mention the special LED surprises in the bathroom that will make you giggle.

It’s honestly, the spot in Waterville right now and if you haven’t been, what are you even doing with your life?

Cushnoc Brewing in Augusta is delicious but the Cantina now officially has my heart.
