Here’s Why Maine Ranked Top 5 For Working Moms
As many of us working moms, we know the hustle and it’s real.
As your starting you morning multi tasking, balancing the schedule, deadlines, drop offs, all while trying to take the first sip of your coffee while it’s still hot.. phew, it’s a lot.
So, to hear that Maine is ranked in the top 5 of the best states to work in the nation, is exciting. This is according to a report by WalletHub.
The New England states that made the cut, according to the report are Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, and Vermont.
WalletHub looked at 17 factors, like child care options, career opportunities, pay gaps, health care, and work-life balance.
They pretty much measured how easy (or hard) it is to raise a family while working full time, which tons of us do.
I am a full time working Mom that also has a second job. In fact, as per the report, 74% of moms with kids under 18 were in the workforce just last years, 2024. And we still make only 85 cents to a man’s dollar on average, as per the report.

There's access to child car, paid leave policies, good schools, and a fair shot at advancing in our jobs.
