One of the most memorable spectacles of 2024 for most families in Maine was the Great American Eclipse. Remember?

This is where millions of Americans gazed up to the skies taking selfies, all to witness the eclipse.

But guess what? The show isn’t over yet!

When's the next eclipse?

Mark your calendars for March 29, 2025, because Maine is about to steal the show once again, as per WMTW.

While this eclipse won’t have the full totality of the 2024 event, it will still be a sight to see, especially in Maine.

Last year, my wife and I stood outside, ready to marvel at the eclipse.

That is, until I realized, about five seconds too late, that I was staring directly at it wearing my regular eyeglasses instead of the protective ones.

In a moment of pure brilliance, I panicked, dropped my real glasses, and was scrambling for my protective pair like my eyesight depended on it (which, frankly guys, it might have).

Meanwhile, my wife was doubled over laughing, and I, now, completely spooked by my own stupidity, spent the rest of the eclipse staring at the ground, convinced I’d already ruined my retinas with blindness.

Where can I see the 2025 eclipse in Maine?

According to WTMW, you'll have the best views in the country in Presque Isle, with 85% of the sun obscured. Augusta, the capitol city of Maine will see a respectable 69% eclipse coverage!

That’s more than enough to make us Mainers feel like the stars have aligned just for all of us!

What time is the magic of the eclipse going to happen?

As per the article, the March eclipse will be a bright and early event, with most of the celestial action unfolding before 7 a.m.

So make sure to set your alarm, grab some coffee, and perch outside for a morning show that's better than anything you're bringing on Netflix right now.

And just like last year, don't forget your protective eyewear. Make sure to check the expiration date first as well to make sure they will still keep those retinas safe.

Whether you’re in Presque Isle, Augusta, or somewhere in between, March 29, 2025, is shaping up to be a memorable day for stargazers!
