It seems the Mill House Pub in Mechanic Falls is nearing its final days, according to the Sun Journal. 

The community is saddened by the news. The beloved establishment recently shared on Facebook that it can no longer remain open.

"We will not reopen short of an act of god," wrote owner Steve Perry on Facebook.

The Mill House Pub is located at 128 Lewiston Street in Mechanic Falls.

According to the Facebook post, Perry cited financial difficulties, saying in part, "My lease didn't run out my money did."

The Mill House Pub is a popular spot among local musicians and dancers since its reopening in February 2018. Steve expressed deep regret over the sudden closure, and mentioned the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the business.

So many patrons and musicians shared their sadness and gratitude for the Mill House's role in the local music scene.

As of January 31, the announcement on their Facebook page gained over 230 comments and hundreds of shares. Folks are reflecting the collective sadness and outpouring of love and memories from the community.
