Guys, let’s talk hair spray, headbangers, and add in cold war spies.. cool right? Yeah, well, it’s happening and it’s all coming straight out of Scarborough, Maine.

There’s this author named Travis Kennedy and he is debuting his novel, The Whyte Python World Tour.

And as the band gains fame, Rikki Thunder, the drummer, starts to suspect all of the popularity and success they have may be connected to secret government involvement, specifically the CIA. Okay, I just got chills. Who else? Headbanging, 80s metal and spies? Who else wouldn’t be completely drawn into this book and movie?  

As per the article, the author is 45 years old and has been working in government for decades before becoming a full time author. So my guess is that he has had one heck of an imagination while being involved in government.

Paramount Pictures Greenlights Film Adaptation of The Whyte Python World Tour

This incredible novel is hitting bookshelves on June 24th, but it’s already being turned into a major motion picture, by Paramount Pictures, according to the Portland Press Herald!

What’s the book about? The story is set in the crazy, chaotic in the 1980s metal, following the drummer of a rising hair band who has suddenly found himself tangled in the Cold War espionage. Yes, spy craft!

He even wrote parts of the novel on his phone in his kids bedroom, as per the article, and now he has an agent, a book deal with Doubleday, and his stories getting greenlit into a movie!
