It’s Going to Feel Like Sweet Summertime For Parts of Maine This Weekend
As per usual here in Maine, our spring weather has been a little wonky, hasn't it? I mean most of us took the plows of our trucks way too early this year. We had a couple days of mild temps and sun back in March so we all (like we always seem to do) put our shovels away and put the sleds in the back of the garage.
We should have known better at the time, but we never learn. We honestly should remember that we've had snow events in parts of Maine in the month of May before, so how dare we think we can put the winter gear away in March. Shame on us.
The good news? It looks like spring might actually be here to stay this time and, as a matter of fact, we are going to get a little taste of summertime over the Easter weekend here in the Pine Tree State.
According to the weather report from WGME 13, Friday is going to be fairly mild with temperatures across the state in the mid 50s through the low 60s. While there will be some clouds in the sky, it looks to be mostly sunny. A good day to call out of work is you ask me.

Saturday is when the real magic happens. WGME is reporting that not only will we see some sun during the day, but those daytime temperatures will reach into the mid 70s! Maybe we should get crazy and uncover the pool?
Easter Sunday things cool back down slightly, but we will still be surrounded by ample sunshine. Temperatures in Maine on Sunday will be more seasonable with highs in the mid 50s. Perfect weather for a crisp morning egg hunt.
But, if we've learned anything over the years, while the weather this weekend is going to be primo, it could still snow over the next few weeks. Hopefully it doesn't though, I've already uncovered the motorcycle.
