Heads up again, everyone!

There are few things more annoying in life, than robocalls, junk e-mail, and spam texts. It seems like this ridiculous phenomenon is getting worse and worse as time goes by.

Its important to pay attention to these things, because there a lot of people out there looking to make a buck off of you.

You might remember last month, when this scam message started circulating, well guess what? It's back.

In fact, early this morning, I received a text message myself, which I immediately marked as spam. You should do the same.

If you are scrolling through social media the last couple of days, there is no doubt you have seen people posting about a text they received, from the Maine Department of Motor Vehicles, stating that they will enforce "final notice" penalties, starting tomorrow on Friday, July 25th.

It states to the recipient that their traffic violations remain unpaid, and could result in a suspension of vehicle registration, a 30-day suspension of their driving license. and possible legal prosecution, and credit rating damage, amongst other things.

It then gives you a link to make an immediate payment. Do NOT click on the link, because it is a total fake scam, so you can take a deep breath and relax!

Anytime you have questions about your driving status, you should always contact the BMV first!

You can reach them directly at 207-624-9000.
