Anna Kendrick Just Bought Local Art in Downtown Portland & We’re Obsessed

If you were taking a lovely stroll in downtown Portland, Maine recently, you have may have caught a surreal celebrity moment.

If you missed it, don’t worry, local artist Savannah Saccarelli shared all of the iconic details with us! Savannah set up shop in the Old Port, this is something she does in the summer, to sell her beautiful pieces.  

She casually dropped this gem on Facebook saying: 

“I’m a local artist to the area and I set up my shop in downtown Portland during the summers. The coolest thing to happen thus far is Anna Kendrick buying my art yesterday” 

Wait, what?!  

Yep! That is THE Anna Kendrick in the flesh. She is a Maine-born, Tony nominated, Pitch Perfect, icon with the best dry humor in Hollywood. Not to mention, she has impeccable taste in art.  

Savannah's work is those incredibly framed arrangements of either real or super realistic preserved insects! Each piece looks carefully curated and displayed in beautiful frames an shadowboxes.

The artwork that Kendrick purchased featured on arrangement of what looks like shiny green beetles. It’s oddly mesmerizing.

The entire booth is earthy with a vibe that says, “natural history museum meets amazing artisan.”

You definitely get a sense, just by looking at her work that it’s made with tons of care. These pieces are perfect for home décor.

Not only is this a mega moment for Savannah, but also it reminds us of how incredibly talented Maine artists are. The celebrities' can’t even resist them. Way to go Savannah!
