Maine Girl’s Selfless Make-A-Wish Idea Will Melt Your Heart
Meet Olivia Pelletier. She’s young, she’s strong, and right now, she’s fighting Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Olivia was diagnosed on June 25, and since then, she and her family have been navigating something no child should ever have to face. But according to her family, Olivia has handled it with an incredible amount of strength, kindness and love.
She’s a hero to her three older brothers and her parents, and it’s easy to understand why.
Olivia loves fishing, riding her four-wheeler and, more recently, designing her own nails. But what might be most remarkable about her is how much she thinks about other people.

When her family was talking about Make-A-Wish, Olivia overheard her aunt talking about how difficult it would be to afford a car. Her response? She wanted to use her wish to get her cousin a car.
That’s Olivia.
She still has two more cycles of treatment in Boston, and her family is hoping that soon, she’ll get to do something every cancer family dreams of: ring that bell.
Now, her community is showing up for the Pelletier family with a fundraiser running through October 9.
As you can imagine the medical bills are outstanding, so if you can help this beautiful family, here is their GoFundME.
There are raffles for signed sports memorabilia, Boston Celtics tickets, gift cards, professional services and more. All proceeds will benefit the Pelletier family as Olivia continues her treatment. Click here for the event page.
Because sometimes a community can’t take away the hard part, but we can show a family they don’t have to carry it alone.
And Olivia, we’re all rooting for that bell.
