Val’s Drive-In Opening Day? Mainers Are Ready
There's a questions we’re all asking as Spring hits in Maine and that’s simply: Is Val's Drive-In opening soon?
The legendary Lewiston drive-in located on Sabattus Street, dropped a Happy Easter post recently and when a follower asked about opening day, the response was just enough to excited everyone saying they are hoping for the 17th, but it will depend on staffing.
And just like that, the annual countdown officially began, hopefully!
For so many of us Val’s isn’t just a place to grab a bite, it’s a deep Maine tradition.
As per there Facebook page, they've been open since 1959, this is an old-school drive-in serving up carhop service, the best root beer you will ever have, and burgers that taste like heaven, if heaven had a taste.
When Does Val's Drive-In Open For The Season Lewiston, Maine?
Oh! And don’t get us started on the onion rings, it’s the kind of spot you pull in flash those lights and get a taste of yummy nostalgia.
It’s also one of the last true carhop style drive ins left in the state of Maine.
Opening day feels exciting and this year the suspense is real! At least we have an idea of around when we should plan our visit.
No matter when they open, we’re always excited to drive by and see those iconic lights on. And if history tells us anything, it’s that Val’s always finds a way to come back swinging for the season.
