Maine’s Most Craved Super Bowl Snack: Buffalo Chicken Dip
What's more "American" than football?
Heck, it's even in the name, "American Football." The sport itself is a microcosm of this amazing country. It's tough, gritty, loud, spastic, and filled with absolute lunatics. That is quite literally the definition of America. It's amazing.
All of America Loves the Super Bowl
While we all love the action on the field, football season (and especially the Super Bowl) is much more than that. The sport brings family and friends together. We spend time with one another enjoying the games and good company. However, there's one thing that always makes these gatherings better: gluttony.
Football was invented to be enjoyed while stuffing our faces with delicious food and beverages (adult ones preferable). The classics like chicken wings, nachos, pizza, burgers, cheesesteaks, and basically anything else fried are true staples of a good weekend of football-watching.
Plus, who doesn't want to wash that down with a tall cool one?
Maine's Favorite Super Bowl Food
All of this food talk had me questioning my sanity foods folks like the most for the big game. Luckily for me, someone had already done all the heavy lifting. That would be Coffeeness, a well-known research site, which compiled a comprehensive report on America's favorite Super Bowl snacks.
They used Google Trends data and keyword research to compile the information. And don’t worry, Mainers—there’s no need to worry. The most popular Super Bowl snack in the Pine Tree State is a winner: buffalo chicken dip.

It's also extremely easy to make, so what's not too like?
I'm not surprised by this selection at all. In fact, I once threw a football party, and five different people brought their own version of this dip. It was hilarious—and delicious.

It's also not surprising to see that buffalo chicken dip was the most popular overall. A total of 29 states had it as number one, including all of New England. I think it's safe to say Maine is hanging with the cool dip crowd.
As great as Maine's choice is, I must say New York having baked ziti as the most popular Super Bowl food does make me very jealous. That's iconic.
