Listen, I know we're all probably suffering from a bit of fatigue due to how long this election season has been dragging on. The canvassing, calls, text messages, commercials, and signs have certainly been plentiful this year. Enough to make even the most hardcore politico go crazy.

So, with all of this craziness going on, why shouldn't we have a little fun with it? And that's exactly what a local company did recently. Yet, somehow, it still managed to anger someone. We just can't have nice things, folks.

Where is The Local Press Located in Portland, Maine?

It all started with a fun little sign made by the folks over at The Local Press, a delicious sandwich shop located in Portland's Woodfords Corner neighborhood. The crew over there decided to have a little fun during this election season by playing into the political atmosphere and getting some free promotion out of the deal. Check out these sweet political signs.

I absolutely love this. It's just a great way to bring attention to your small business while also poking fun at the endless political season. It's like a diamond in the political rough. And best of all, it's completely harmless.

However, as we know in this world, it doesn't matter what you do. Someone is going to get upset. Enter joe921926. I think it's safe to say Joe is none too amused by these delightful shenanigans from The Local Press.

In the immortal words of Sergeant Hulka from Stripes, "Lighten up, Francis."

Of all the things to get angry about, I feel like this is not one of them. There are approximately 1.3 million yard signs up right now in Maine. Do a few signs poking fun at the political season while supporting a small business really matter that much? Come on, Joe. Life is just too short to be pissed off about this.

How did The Local Press React to the Online Criticism?

I do commend The Local Press for its response. I think it was very smart and to the point. These signs are nothing more than a way to bring a little levity to this crazy election season while also promoting small businesses, which are the backbone of our society. Without our small business owners, we are nothing.

So, three cheers to the crew at The Local Press. Way to have some fun during these insane times, and way to handle online negativity in the right fashion.
