About two years ago, the first cat cafe in Maine officially opened. That would be the Meow Lounge in Westbrook, which continues its great work putting smiles on visitors faces whule finding kitties new homes.

Now, there's a new cat cafe in Maine with hopes of doing the same exact thing.

New Cat Cafe Called The Cat's Familiar Opens in Gardiner, Maine

Celebrating their grand opening at the beginning of November, The Cat's Familiar is Maine's latest cat cafe located at 318 Water Street in Gardiner.

According to WABI, visitors can visit the new cat cafe for some quality time with an adoptable cat and even to grab a meal or a delicious snack.

The Cat's Familiar is serving up a rotating menu of home cooked meals as well as desserts. Visitors can even peruse a selection of craft items for purchase as well.

The Cat's Familiar Has Teamed Up A Local Animal Shelter

While good food and treats can make any place feel a little bit more like home, the bread and butter of The Cat's Familiar will be those friendly feline faces.

The Cat's Familiar has teamed up with the Kennebec Valley Humane Society in hopes of getting more exposure and adoptions of cats in need of new families and homes.
