New Restaurant Opening in Old Arby’s Location at The Maine Mall

With every new year comes changes at the Maine Mall.

Some stores depart, other new ones arrive and the cycle of the mall continues on.

But there's been one space at the Maine Mall that has been vacant for what feels like years. While the rest of the food court has been thriving, the old Arby's location has been most empty.

Soul Food Paradise occupied the space following Arby's departure nearly four years ago but their stay was short.

In 2026, there will be something new going into that space and will add yet another international flavor element to a very diverse Maine Mall food court.

Aromas of India Set to Open Inside the Maine Mall Food Court in South Portland

Indian food appears to be taking Maine by storm as several new Indian restaurants have recently opened or have planned openings this year.

Add another one to the list.

Aromas of India is set to open in 2026 as part of a very diverse Maine Mall food court.

As of this writing, there's no further details on what Aromas of India will serve as signature dishes or when their grand opening date will be.

You Can Tour a World of Flavor at the Maine Mall Food Court

Whenever Aromas of India officially joins the Maine Mall Food Court, it'll join several other restaurants offering a taste of the world.

The Maine Mall Food Court already includes Sarku, Panda Express, Tacos De Poblanita and Amato's for some unique international flavors. Charley's and Johnny Rocket's offer up classic American food as well.
