Remember When Jimmy Fallon Opened Up About How His New Hampshire Proposal Went Awry?

I know some people don't agree, but I think it's really cool that we live in a part of the country where famous people want to come visit. Martha Stewart ordering a lobster roll at my favorite seafood restaurant in Maine? EXCITING! Seth Rogen crushing beers at my favorite New Hampshire brewery? WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!

And of course, let us not forget, the one and only Jimmy Fallon is spotted in Northern New England at least once a year, since his wife's family has a summer house on Lake Winnipesaukee!

We've all seen the epic comedy sketch with Jimmy and JT where they play two little dudes at summer camp in New Hampshire (it's the braces for me).

But back to Nancy and Jimmy:

According to People, Jimmy Fallon met his wife Nancy while they were working on Fever Pitch in 2005 (one of my favorites!). Nancy was a producer, and Jimmy was in it (duh).

After two years, Jimmy knew he wanted to propose, and that he wanted it to be very romantic. The time felt right at Nancy's vacation house on Lake Winnipesaukee.

They were out on the dock looking out on the water. Jimmy kept telling himself to let her cry first. But being the sensitive soul that he is, he immediately began to weep when he got down on one knee. Nancy thought he was having a stroke!  “My face was like I was smelling burnt toast”, he said. When it was clarified that Jimmy was proposing rather than having a medical emergency, Nancy said yes!

They named their first daughter Winnie, since Lake Winnipesaukee played such a key role in their love story.
