One of the Most Expensive ZIP Codes in America Includes One in Massachuetts
Wow. I thought it was expensive to find a house in Maine and New Hampshire, but according to a 2026 study by Realtor.com, this Massachusetts place lands pretty high on the list.
If you're trying to buy a house at this time in New Hampshire, Maine or Massachusetts, I feel your pain. If anything is less than say... $400K, you kinda wonder, "Okay, what's wrong with it?"
Realtor.com collected real estate data based on these three things:
- Median Price
- Square Feet
- Total Listing Count
The Top 10 ZIP codes start at $5.5 million dollars as a median price. Interestingly, California holds 7 towns in the top 10, including the number one spot, Newport Beach where the median listing price is $12.5 dollars. That's in American Dollars.... WOWZERS.
Nantucket Island Is One of the Most Expensive Zip Codes in America
The only New England town is Nantucket, Mass with a median home price of $4.85 Million dollars, American.
Anyway, the Top 10 besides Newport Beach, California include;
- Miami Beach: $11.98 Million Median Price of a home
- Bridgehampton, NY: $8.8 Million Media Price (any town with "hampton" tacked on a the end is definitely expensive.
- Paradise Valley, Arizona: $5.5 million American Dollars.

Maybe it's because we are not that far from New York, but I thought this figure was absolutely nuts. To buy a property in New York, the median price is about $4.8 million. What the..... I don't know why that surprises me so much. I recently took a trip to NYC to see a Broadway Show (Hell's Kitchen - go see it, you'll love it) and the Hotel for ONE FLIPPIN' NIGHT came to over $400. It was a nice hotel, but geez o' PETE!
