Willie Jewell's Old School Bar-B-Q in Nashua, NH, Closing

If you're a big barbecue fan, sadly, there will be one less New Hampshire restaurant serving up brisket, pulled pork, and ribs.

Willie Jewell's Old School Bar-B-Q in Nashua announced on Facebook that it would be closing permanently.

This will mark the end of Willie Jewell's in New England, meaning you'll have to travel all the way to South Carolina, Georgia, or Florida to get your fix.

On October 31, Willie Jewell's shared in a Facebook post that the restaurant will close for good at 8 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025.

"This decision comes with a heavy heart, and we want to express our deepest gratitude for your support throughout our 9 years of business," the BBQ spot stated.

According to CBS News, local owners Kevin and Tori Chatrand opened Willie Jewell's in 2016 after visiting the restaurant in Florida and wanting to bring the "southern staple" to New England.

Not surprisingly, people shared their reactions to the closing news.

One of Willie Jewel's workers thanked the customers and the support from what she called her second family.

"Thank you to all who came out to support us yesterday. We were overwhelmed with the kind words and stories each one of you shared. Your generosity did not go unnoticed. I am sitting here so grateful for every moment Willie Jewels has given me the last 8 years," she said.

A number of people expressed sadness.

One person said, "Thank you for all that you have given and for providing a clean and delicious dining option for years. I'm so sorry that you had to make this decision, but you should be proud of what you accomplished.

Another shared, "I am so sorry. But I just wanted to say I loved your beef brisket! And the fried pickles. After Riverside BBQ closed down, I didn't think I could get BBQ in Nashua, then I found you guys. I will miss you all, and I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors."

With the Nashua location closing, New England will officially say goodbye to Willie Jewell’s Old School Bar-B-Q.

But for those who enjoyed some of the delicious eats over the years, the flavor and memories will never be gone.
