Small Italian Massachusetts Restaurant Serves One of the Best Spaghetti Dishes in the US
Spaghetti is a delicious meal with or without meatballs, but let's be real, it's pretty easy to make at home.
You grab your store-bought box of pasta and your jar of your favorite sauce, and you whip something up in no time. An easy meal for a chill night in.
And yet, some pretty special places make a spaghetti dish so good, it's worth leaving the house for dinner, taking the drive, and settling in for each delicious bite for a night out on the town.
Best Spaghetti Dish in the US in Boston, Massachusetts
Mashed put out a list of about 12 of the best spaghetti dishes you could get in the United States.
If you were wondering, Olive Garden sadly didn't make the list (maybe if it were best breadsticks!), but there were restaurants from across the country, including spots in California, Illinois, and one state in New England.
Carmelina's in Boston, Massachusetts, landed on the "best" list, highlighting a spaghetti dish called frutti di mare, which is "light on the sauce and heavy on the seafood."
On the Italian restaurant's menu, frutti di mare is listed as "wild caught shrimp, calamari, clams, and mussels in a light fragrant tomato sauce with capellini."
Sounds delicious, but if you want to see what other pasta options there are, there are about 18 to choose from, which range from spaghetti with littleneck clams to lobster ravioli (how New England).
You've got pasta choices!
Carmelina's in Boston, Massachusetts
According to the restaurant's website, Carmelina's opened in 2012 on Hanover Street in the North End of Boston, Massachusetts.
The restaurant's chefs create "traditional Sicilian comfort food with a Mediterranean twist," the website states.
But if you want to get into this small Italian spot, you better book now because the reservation demand is high, sometimes weeks to months in advance.
Carmelina's is even listed as the top Italian restaurant in Boston on Yelp with a 4.5 out of 5 rating, with a number of really positive reviews:
"Everything was made to perfection and the portions were great! 5 stars! I cannot wait to go back!"
"A great family restaurant that provides a modern way of cooking and has an outstanding staff that provides for all of your culinary delights."
