Road Trip Worthy: This ‘Wicked’-Themed New England Restaurant Feels Like You Stepped Into the Emerald City
There's no place like New England. There's no place like New England.
Pretty sure, Dorothy said that when she clicked her ruby red slippers and left the magical world of Oz, right?
No? She didn't? Well, she should have, especially if she knew about the New England restaurant's dining space that's inspired by "Wicked," the popular Broadway show and movie about the untold story of the Wicked Witch of the West.
Wicked-Themed Restaurant in Connecticut
Who is up for a road trip? Or maybe a hot-air balloon trip with some flying monkeys?
There's a fancy Italian restaurant in Southington, Connecticut, called Cava that has transformed one of its dining areas into what looks like it's straight from "Wicked."
And the design is no joke either. It's not a few posters and some cute little items.
This place is decked out like you're really there in the Emerald City, filled with bright green across the room, or in Munchkinland, complete with a yellow-brick road.
And there's even the wizard, the witch, and Glinda on display to amp it up even more.
Take a look below to see some pictures of what the place looks like before you go.

How Long Will the Wicked-Themed Connecticut Restaurant Experience Last?
According to CT Insider, the restaurant plans to keep the immersive experience through at least the summer, but there is no end date set at this time.
It's only about a 3-hour trip from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, a 3.5-hour trip from Portland, Maine, or a 2-hour trip from Boston, Massachusetts.
That's not too far, unless you decide you want to walk like Dorothy and the gang.
So whether you're a die-hard "Wicked" fan or just want to enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience, this Connecticut gem is calling your name.
There’s no place like New England for magical surprises like this. Got your broomstick ready for the trip?
