KAPOW! This Museum in Maine Has Comics
If you're like me, you don't exactly leap out of your seat at the prospect of touring a history museum. Don't get me wrong; I've seen my fair share of fascinating exhibits, but I'm more of a hands-on, outdoorsy type.
However, the current exhibit at the Maine Historical Society might be a different story. According to their website,
Maine Historical Society's new exhibition KAPOW! Maine Comic Artists features original drawings of Beavis & Butt-Head, Barbie, Big Nate comic strips, George Danby's political cartoons and more. All artists and artwork in KAPOW! Maine Comic Artists represent comic-inspired artists currently working in and drawing inspiration from the state of Maine.
This may just convince even the most resistant museum-goers that history isn't always boring. RUN over to the exhibit before it ends on March 31!
