If you haven't been to the cryptozoology museum in Portland...

You are definitely missing out. It's literally the finest place in all the Unites States to gather more intel about cryptid beasts. If you're into Bigfoot, Chupacabras, or anything in between, this place is where your people are. Or if you're in the Bangor area, museum owner Loren Coleman opened a bookstore in addition to the museum.

Although sooner than later, the International Cryptozoology Museum is moving out of Portland and joining forces with the bookstore in Bangor, hopefully by 2024. Owner Loren Coleman is considered to be one of the world's foremost experts in the field. As such, Coleman is no stranger to a certain amount of celebrity.

That fame has put him right in the pages of a new Scooby Doo comic!

According to the BDN, a man named John Rozum, who writes new Scooby Doo comics, has been very aware of Coleman and his museum for a long time. So much so that he's been wanting to get Coleman into a story for a while. The character based on Coleman is named Lawrence Collier, who runs the Intercontinental Cryptozoology Museum (see what they did there, hahaha).

Basically the character helps the gang solve the mystery behind the cryptid creatures that are terrorizing the town. Hopefully he also gets to lift the mask off the villain to be told, "if it wasn't for you and those meddling kids..." Honestly, that would be the most righteous payoff of all. Getting to be part of the big reveal at the end. Unless he's the villain?!?

This isn't the first time Loren Coleman's been in a comic book. He was in a Swamp Thing reboot in the early 2000's. Ha, that character's name was Coleman Wadsworth and was trying to hunt down Swamp Thing. If you're interested in the Scooby Doo comic, it's out in book and comic stores nationwide.
