Over 60 People Have Won Over $100,000 in the 2024 Maine Lottery (So Far), Including 3 $1 Million Winners

It's hard not to dream of all the fun purchases and "what ifs" when playing the lottery.

And when a Maine town winds up being a location for one of the biggest lottery wins in history, a whopping $1.35 billion, even with the insane odds stacked against you, it's pretty easy to think, "Why not me?"

Turns out, there's been a pretty good chunk of big-money Maine lottery winners in 2024 so far. And there's still more year left to add your name to that list.

According to the Maine Lottery, there have been 63 people who have won at least $100,000 in one of the various lottery games through August 2024.

To zoom in a little more, nine winners in 2024 have scored at least $500,000, and a lucky three have landed $1 million (one in March and two in August).

It's interesting to note that every month through August 2024 has had a winner who has gotten at least $500,000, except for April. Must just not be as lucky of a month as the others.

According to News Center Maine, the odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 292.2 million and Mega Millions is about 1 in 302.6 million. Not great odds.

But what's that saying? You can't win it if you ain't in it?
